Mrs. Martin's 6th grade Enrichment Class at WGMS took on the challenge of managing their own finances with a fun and interactive budget game! đź’°
Each student worked with a “20-square income” to make real-life decisions about spending, saving, and prioritizing needs vs. wants. From housing and transportation to entertainment and unexpected expenses, they quickly discovered how important it is to plan ahead and make thoughtful choices.
This hands-on activity sparked great conversations about financial responsibility, goal setting, and the value of money. We even had a few students realize just how fast those squares can disappear!
Great job to all our future money managers—your smart thinking and creativity were impressive! 👏
